树脂镜片小知识
一、优点：
1. 重量轻。
2. 不易破裂：万一镜片被击碎，不但碎片少，且较不尖锐，能使眼球及面部受伤的情形减至最低程度，这就是市面上标榜为“安全镜片”的主因。
3. 可以染色：树脂镜片容易染色，可与服饰、流行做适度的搭配。
4. 可以遮断紫外线：几乎完全遮断波长350mm以下的紫外线，效果远比玻璃镜片为佳。
5. 防雾性强：因树脂镜片的热传导率较玻璃低，不易因蒸汽、热水气而产生模糊不明现象，即使产生模糊亦会很快消退。
6. 可防凹痕：一般高热小体积物质容易在玻璃片造成凹痕和斑点，但若碰到树脂镜片时，就会自动弹开，不会在镜片表面造成任何痕迹。
7. 树脂镜片表面反射较一般玻璃片为低，也较不刺眼。
8. 树脂双光镜片没有色差，这是由于树脂双光镜片系整片构造，因此较熔合的玻璃双光片少有色差情形。
9. 树脂镜片的透光率高达92%，较一般玻璃片高2%以上。
10. 树脂镜片抗御化学品和溶剂的范围极广，几乎一切家庭用溶剂和化学品对它都不会有影响或损害。
二、缺点：
1. 容易擦伤：树脂镜片的耐刮性较玻璃镜片差，但可经由表面硬化处理改善之，但效果有限。
2. 厚度较玻璃镜片厚：爱美是人的天性，太厚的镜片非常不雅观，深度近视者更视同畏途。虽近来有很大的改善，但仍较玻璃镜片厚许多。
